Agent Representation Form
Licensed real estate agents are welcome and encouraged to represent buyers in our real estate auctions. To establish agency and ensure proper compensation, cooperating brokers must complete the Agent Representation Form before their client registers to bid. This protects both the buyer and the agent by clearly documenting agency relationships prior to participation in the auction.
How Agent Representation Works
Grindstaff’s Auction Marketing Group LLC offers cooperating broker compensation as outlined in the Real Estate Terms & Conditions for each property. Because auction terms vary by seller, the specific cooperating commission amount will always be published within the individual auction listing.
To qualify for cooperating broker compensation, agents must:
- Hold an active real estate license in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or follow applicable state laws for out-of-area buyers).
- Complete and submit the Agent Representation Form prior to buyer registration.
- Attend showings and open houses with their buyer when possible.
- Review all auction terms, disclosures, and property documents with their client.
- Ensure their client understands that real estate auctions are as-is, where-is with no contingencies unless otherwise stated.
